On the occasion of the Formula E E-Prix on April 14th, at the Eur circuit, Roma Servizi per la Mobilità (Roma Mobility Agency) realized the roadway plan to regulate the inflow and outflow from the circuit and relieve road traffic during the preparation and the dismantling of the structures.
The traffic flows in the area have been audited, and will be continually monitored, thanks to the systems (Intelligent Transport System) amongst which is the “Big Data” of Infoblu.
Roma Servizi per la Mobilità  – which has already been testing Infoblu’s “mobile sensors” platform in the Capital for a year – has activated specific monitoring on some routes to achieve a plan that minimizes disruption for those who need to move from or towards the Eur.

“The data monitored in real time, together with the use of the simulation models that we use in our company – states  Stefano Brinchi, President and Managing Director of Rome Mobility Services – have allowed us to study a mobility plan that can bring together the many productive, managerial but also residential realities that insist in the EUR area.
The study involved both the road network and the public transport lines, providing  the intensification of the Formula E days to facilitate travel to and from the EUR area. Roma Servizi per la Mobilità uses the valuable information provided by vehicles to constantly calibrate the simulation models and to check the state of the road network in real time “.

“The use of Big Data in support of Mobility – says  Fabio Pressi, CEO of Infoblu – for us is a reality in existence for many years.
We have started to invest on anonymous data collection to study the real-time movements of cars, taxis, trucks, and offer increasingly precise and reliable info-mobility services. Even administrations are starting a path of innovation towards the use of data that will bring significant results and savings for citizens. “
